Horrorfind was a great excuse to get off of work for the weekend and hang out with some of the best in the horror genre. I talked to writers (duh), filmmakers, actors and even some old friends while selling my books and then handing the hard-earned sales from the table to purchase swag and some novelties.
My table was small (I’m young give me some time) with only four different titles but I thankfully shared it with Kevin Lucia, another first time Horrorfinder but literary veteran. He introduced me to some cool people I probably wouldn’t have met otherwise. I heard that Brian Keene was there but was stuck selling books at the table so I didn’t have the pleasure.
I hung out with the awesome Nicholas Grabowski and Ryan Clark of BlackBedSheet Books and met Greg Hall (horror personality and author), Tom Monteleone, Michael Gnost, Mark Justice (who said very nice things about my novella), and Rob Melfi.
It was a great first con and I already have next year’s trips in mind. I could get used to this kind of thing! ;)
